The Boats allocated to assist the Race Officer on Wednesday Evenings have now been decided.
This list will help Jim to allocate personnel from these boats to assist in the Rescue Boat(s). I
only used the Piper and Flying Fifteen Yachts, as Dinghies can be single handed. There are 18
evenings to cover and this has been done by alternating the two Classes. Average points will be
awarded to the helping Yacht, this being averaged in each of the 3 Series, after discard(s). If a Boat
is unable to attend on the evening allocated, that Boat will be responsible for swopping with another,
or alternatively requesting a Boat not listed to step in. At all such contingencies the Sailing Secretary,
and/or the Commodore, shall be informed. The Wednesday prior to a Boat's turn, a big reminder card
will be put on the Tea Counter. I would emphasise the the allocation of slots was done by ballot, and
no holiday commitments were considered. The Sunday Events are largely being covered by Robin Reid,
with help on an ad hoc basis from stalwarts of the Club who are not involved in Racing.
