HLSC Flying fifteen and Piper sailors ventured over to Royal Gourock Yacht club on Saturday 7July to participate in a very well organised event in terms of both racing and hospitality. The light winds at the start of race one saw a very slow pace across the start line for the four fleets racing but picked up enough to allow some very close finishes, especially in the Fifteen fleet where Nae FFear slipped past Efficacious winning by a fraction of a second. The wind filled in to allow a second faster pace race with 2 to 3 laps. The fifteens overall positions, 1st Nae FFear, 2nd Efficacious and 3rd Woffle.
