Series 2 Race 1 and Club Performance at Cove Regatta

Series 2 Kicks Off with Challenging Conditions

Wednesday, 11th June marked the start of Series 2, with a light and variable south-easterly wind creating testing conditions for the fleet. The shifting breeze led to close racing and frequent position changes throughout the race.

Race Officer Bill Aitchison made a smart call, choosing to finish the race after just one lap — just before the wind dropped away completely.

It was also great to see a strong turnout from the Piper class, many of whom were getting in some practice ahead of their anniversary regatta next weekend.
